Facilities
The school has three beautiful studios that provide
a safe, professional learning environment. Our 2000 square foot main
studio is especially beautiful, and is often described by newcomers
as "Wow." Come see our school; it's a beautiful place!
We also have men's and women's restrooms, girl's dressing room, and
elevator.
Below you can find detailed information on all three studios.
You will see that the care we put into our facilities is the same care
we put into our instruction. We don't ask our students to dance on a
rock hard surface. This is jarring to the joints and fatiguing to the
muscles. We have specially constructed basketweave sprung floors that
provide the perfect amount of bounce and shock absorption.
All three studios have complete sound systems, pitch control on both
the double cassette decks and cd players (MP3 in St. 2). Our speakers
feature horn-driven components for crystal clear sound and large woofers
for deep bass response.
Location
The
school is located in the neighborhood between the Inner-Richmond and
Pacific Heights Districts of San Francisco at 403 Arguello Blvd., at
the corner of Clement St.
Metered and two hour parking is available. The best spots are usually
on the east side of Arguello. There are many wonderful restaurants,
gift stores, office supply stores, and supermarkets all within walking
distance of the school.
Bus Lines
The
#33 Stanyan stops at our door. The #38 Geary, #1 California, and #2
Clement all stop nearby.

Studio Information
STUDIO 1 is 40 x 50 feet, comprising
2000 unobstructed square feet with a 25-foot high ceiling. The floor is
a state-of-the-art sprung floor especially designed for ballet or modern
dance. The floor covering is Harlequin Studio, a high-quality "marley"
type floor covering.
Professional-quality portable single and double ballet barres are available
for use and can be easily removed for non-dance use. The studio has a
piano, sound system, heating, and ample lighting. The Victorian style
of Studio 1 is rich in architectural detail, including elaborate trim,
faux columns, stained glass, intricate plaster ceiling, and a balcony.
STUDIO 2 is 25 x 33 feet, comprising 825 unobstructed square feet
with an 12 foot high ceiling. It has a state-of-the-art sprung floor.
The floor covering is battleship linoleum which is suitable for all kinds
of dance.
Professional quality portable double ballet barres are mixed with permanent
double hardwood barres. The studio has one wall of mirrors, heating, a
sound system, ample lighting, and four windows. Studio 2 is bright, warm,
and elegant, with a vaulted ceiling.
STUDIO 3
is 24 x 33 feet, comprising 792 unobstructed square feet with an 11 foot
6 inch high ceiling. It has a hardwood maple floor with a finish suitable
for ballet or modern dance.
Professional quality portable double ballet barres are mixed with permanent
double hardwood barres. The studio has one wall of mirrors, heating, a
sound system, ample lighting, and one window. Studio 3 is simple and elegant,
with a vaulted ceiling.
Rental
Information
Studios are available for rental on an hourly basis. Rehearsal rates are
$22/hr. for Studio 1 and $14/hr. for Studio 2 & 3. For instruction,
photo shoots or other uses, please call 387-2695 for rates.
